Window environment

WindowEnv is the default window manager in OpenTheDoors Desktop.

It is based on Winbox.js, runs in javascript and is compatible with both preinstalled and packaged applications.

This window environment is developed entirely in javascript and is sandboxed.

Another environment called Web Env uses the same library (winbox.js) but is not sandboxed, which can be useful for “root” software or software using a local server.

to install system plugins on the environment, define a WindowEnv variable and the value "?plugin=https://urlofyourplugin".

it is possible to replace, delete or modify the pre-installed desktop environment.

on OpenTheDoors Desktop, it is also possible to use applications without environment with the "icon" desktop mode integrated into the icon packages.
